11pets has been doing pet care for a long time and it shows in the breadth: vaccination schedules, medical history, weight and temperature tracking, grooming, cloud backup and an adoption section. Its premium tier has been reported at around 69 euros for lifetime access. It is built for people who want a complete medical file on an animal. Kounts Care is built for the day-to-day: what needs doing today, who did it, and whether anything in the house is dangerous to the animal.

The short answer

Choose 11pets if you want a comprehensive medical record for an animal, especially with a complex health history, multiple vets, or breeding and showing involved. Choose Kounts Care if you want the daily routine handled calmly for pets and plants together, shared across the household.

Where each option is stronger

Where Kounts Care is stronger

The plants are the point

The reason to pick Kounts Care over a dedicated pet app is the thing a dedicated pet app cannot do: know what is growing in the same room as the animal. Adding a lily to a home with a cat raises a full-screen warning, and adopting a cat re-checks every plant already in the house.

A sitter does not need an account

When you go away, Kounts Care generates a private web page with the routine on it. The sitter opens a link in a browser. No install, no sign-up, and it expires when you decide.

No account and no vendor cloud

There is no sign-up in Kounts Care because there is no back end. Records live on your iPhone and in your own private iCloud database, and household sharing runs through Apple's CloudKit rather than through a company server.

Where 11pets is the better choice

It is a much deeper medical record

11pets tracks vaccinations, treatments, weight, temperature, grooming and full medical history with years of refinement behind it. Kounts Care records what was done and when, and exports it as a PDF. For an animal with a complicated health history, or a breeder tracking a litter, 11pets is built for the job and Kounts Care is not.

Broader pet coverage

11pets handles a wide range of animals and situations, including shelters and professional use. Kounts Care ships presets for common household pets and is aimed squarely at a family home.

Community and adoption

11pets includes adoption listings and a community. Kounts Care has neither, because it has no account system to build them on.

Questions people actually ask

Is 11pets free?

There is a free tier, with a premium upgrade for extras including unlimited storage and additional support. Its premium has been reported at around 69 euros for lifetime access. Check the current App Store listing before buying. Checked August 2026.

Can Kounts Care replace a vet record?

No, and it does not try to. It keeps a record of the care you have given and exports it as a PDF you can hand to a vet. Your vet's clinical records are the authoritative ones, and anything to do with diagnosis or treatment belongs with them.

How many pets can I track?

Five profiles free, and that budget is shared with plants and shared across your whole household rather than counted per person. Premium removes the limit at $19.99 a year or $34.99 once.

Does it handle vaccinations and flea treatments?

Yes, as recurring counters: flea treatment every thirty days, worming every ninety, vaccines on their own schedule, walks daily and weigh-ins on whatever interval you set. Overdue items surface on the Today screen and in the widget.

Try the calm one.
